• Analysis of the use of energy in steel works, paper industry, chemistry industry etc
• Projects aiming at minimization of energy costs
• Planning for future energy supply systems in industry by replacing purchased energy by secondary heat from the processes.
• Energy technology adviser for the Nordic iron and steel industry

Studies and investigations, examples:

• Investigation of the present state of the art regarding gasifiers, furnaces for the steel industry, energy recovery equipment etc.
• Studies of the profitability of electric power production within iron and steel works
• Development of new business concepts for various companies
• Review of the use of IT aids among engineers
• Analyses of the prospects for cooperation in the energy field between companies located in a common district.

Measurements

The function and performance of industrial equipment of various kinds has been analysed. Measurements have been made of pressure, temperatures, fluid flows, electric data etc. Training material has been developed for personnel in the iron and steel industry.
